Supporters of Willow Wood are busy dusting off their pink Stetsons and feather boas as the much-loved Midnight Wander is nearly upon us. Taking place on Friday 23 July, timings are slightly different this year as event organiser Laura Marinelli explains.
“We’ve decided to set off at 9pm to make it easier for families or those working over the weekend to take part. As it’s 10k, we’re expecting the majority of walkers to be arriving back at our sponsors Astley Sports Village just after midnight, where they’ll be greeted with their medal and a very welcome hot sandwich.
“There’s still time to get involved with this fantastic fundraiser. Just go to our Midnight Wander page to join online and if you haven’t got your pink accessories, please call into our reception gift shop. There you’ll find pink wigs, pink tutus, pink legwarmers, pink stetsons, pink bunny ears, pink head boppers and more. We’ve even got a pink raffle with some fab pink prizes!”
Astley Sports Village are offering the fantastic opportunity of a week’s free membership for all participants in the Midnight Wander. To take advantage of this special deal please email Laura on laura.marinelli@willowwood.org.uk
