One of the most delightful occasions in the Willow Wood fundraising calendar is the annual Flower Festival, and this year’s will be no exception.
Falling this coming weekend, it opens on Saturday 11 May at 10am and on Sunday at 11am, and continues until 4pm on both days.As well as the glorious floral displays, which this year are on the theme of ‘Story Time’ a celebration of children’s books in flowers, there will be plenty more to enjoy. In keeping with the theme there will be story book readings, a children’s quiz and face painting to keep the younger members of the family happy.
There’ll be delicious refreshments, entertainment over the two days by the Mike Styan Singers, the Happy Ukelele Band and Macy Evans, and the official opening at 11am on Saturday will be performed by Hospice patron Justin Moorhouse. All this for just £3.50 entry – and children are free!
